Default Good OC MOBO

Is the ASUS P4P800-VM microatx board, a good canidate for a mild overclock? I plan on putting it together with a 2.4 Northwood P4 and some PQI Turbo memory in an antec aria case. Thanks guys!

It should provide a good OC, but why are you going with a MATX board? If your gonna go ASUS I would go with the P4C800-E. But my board ofchoice if you really want to get that 2.4 screaming would be a ABIT IC7or IC7-G/Max 3.

The case i'm using requires a M-ATX board. I'm using the Antec aria case. I just want to do a mild overoclock on it. Any suggestions for a hot MAtx board?

Iateronmly is the resident SFF expert, but he runs AMD.

I bet you can steer you in the right direction though!

(Maybe drop him a PM if he doesn't find this thread)

Yah - Lokie and a regular memeber Ripley are the Intel SFF persons currently. But I do believe that Asus board is generally the best bet, but requires the use of clockgen software. Sent a message to Lokie about this thread, he should pipe in some time today.

Yes it can OC but not from the bios, I have to use a utility called ClockGen and works in windows.
