Default Any Way To Overclock My Laptop?

Hi guys. I was just wondering if there was anyway to overclock my HP ze4200 series laptop. It has a 1.8ghz Celeron and the thing runs really cool and the fan rarely comes on. It's got 256mb of PC2100 ram, a 64mb ATi Mobility Graphics card, and a 15" LCD screen. I think thats all is needed to be known about it. I was just wondering just for fun if it was possible to overclock it. Well its not just for fun, but its also for working at school and at work because it is getting to be a little on the slow side for me at times. Is there any program out there that will allow me to overclock my laptop or any other ideas?

if you are lucky enough to get it apart..without voiding the warranty you could always try a volt mod, now mind you i have yet to hear about that happening, but it might be able to be done.

What is a volt mod gonna do for me. Whats the point of it if I can't overclock it. Nice idea man but before I do a volt mod, which i've done before to my old Athlon XP, I need to figure out how to overclock my laptop. I need some software or something. Ahhhh i need help. Not a big deal if i can't, but it'd be nice to get a few more mhz out of her. I'm going to start modding my laptop this week. I'm going to sand down the bottom metal to a mirror finish with 2000 grit sandpaper. It's metal that has been painted black so far, but scratches have shown me that there is metal underneath waiting to be shined up . I am also going to do a custom paintjob to the back of the LCD Display lid. Not sure the design yet, but something interesting. Part of me is thinking of doing the intel logo. Any ideas would be appreciated.

well the volt mod would provide some extra power which would lead to increased stability at higher overclocks. laptops stay underpowered for a reason so they don't produce that much heat. so stereomod's right in that you'll probably need a volt mod to get much overclocking done

I realize that and thanks guys, but I need to be able to overclock before I even think about Volt Modding my laptop. Is there any programs out there to be able to change my FSB?

In short, no. Even if you could, overclocking your laptop would kill your battery life. If you need more performance, try a fresh install and more ram.

Alright thanks. Not too worried about battery life she does clock down to 196mhz on Battery when I'm in WORD and all that. I did get about four hours worth of battery life when I got it, but now with 312 Battery cycles on it I get about 2 hours and ten minutes. It initial capacity was 4400mAh but now its down to 2512mAh according to the battery spec program provided with the computer. It's a nifty little program because it tells you everything that you'd need to know, right down to the number of charge errors and all that. It's running pretty fresh on a windows XP install; just a few months, and i got it down to 16 processes at standstill. Thanks for the help.
