Default Random Lock Up Core 2 Overclocked!

Ok check this out! Ive just got my new rig up and running and ive been playing around with it! Well To start out here are my systems specs!

Asus P5N-32 E SLi +
Core 2 E6750 @ 3.2Ghz 1.4350V
2x2Gb OCZ Reaper 4-4-4-12 2.15V
RaptorX
Evga 8800GTS
Pc Power And Cooling 750 Quad Silencer
Good cooling!

Ok as the title says im getting random lock ups and i cant figure it out for the life of me! Ive tried all the voltages on Everything! Voltage adj, Ive tried lowering the LTD to 3X, ram timmings Ects, ects!

The only thing ive seen that was kinda fishy is that my power rails in the "BIOS" are kinda crap for this psu! 3.3V Is 3.28 the 12V is 11.78 and the 5v is 4.80, But they are a stable low.. Do not move at all..

Here is what its doing.. I can game for hours sometimes, And back out of my game and play on the net and it will just LOCK up! And other times 5 mins into a game it will lock up! its dual prime stable for a while! But sometimes it will just LOCK UP! 2 mins into prime!

If anyone has suggestions PLEASE help out!!

ALSO, I did not install the drivers that came with the mobo except the audio Vista had all of them!

Yeah are you watching your temps?

Also what OS are you using and how long has it been installed?

Yeah temps are still low to mid 30s c, I'll try dropping it down whats a good starting point for this chip? I cant remember where i had my E6400 i could of swore it was 1.3475 but then again i thought maybe it was at 1.450?

And i just installed this OS a few days ago, With this build!

That chip's voltage I'm unsure of, I don't like Intel and the last chip of theirs I used was a socket 478 P4. lol

But I would suggest only bumping the voltage one, maybe two spots of at all necessary.

check your memory, and then check your memory voltage in your bios

a lot of motherboards will use some ridiculously low default voltage (1.8 or so) on some memory modules, even ones with SPD ratings in the 2.0+ ranges.

Ok im back still freezing up! Ive checked the psu rails with my good ol fluke and they are ROCK stable at 5.05 and 12.08 even while gaming! They dont move at all!!

Tried dropping the voltage way down, Still does it! Tried uping the voltage up to 1.450, Was at 1.437, Running right now at 1.425,

Ht voltage is 1.3
ram is 2.125
cpu core is 1.425
Nb is 1.3
Sb is 1.6
ltd is 1.3

Anyone? For some reason i just dont think its something im doing wrong anymore! lol its some kind of hardware issue!

i would take a close look at your motherboards capacitors, see if any of them have bulging or leaking tops

Ok so what are the spd ratings on your ram?
I'm going out on a limb here, but I doubt it's your CPU. I was hitting 3.5 at 1.45vCore, had to take it up to 1.5v to get to 3.6 though.
If I had to guess I'd guess your ram is either clocked too high, timings are too tight, or voltage is too low. But to know you'd have to get the spd ratings from cpuz and post them. (don't just start juicing your ram because I guessed ok?!)

My new E6750 should be here by Friday and I'll be able to tell you the stock voltage.
I do have a QX6850 in my gaming rig and the stock volts are 1.35v. I'm thinking you
should be able to run at 3.2 GHz at 1.35v or 1.4v. As for your P/S voltages, they are
making me think your mobo is fubar. I have (2) P/S, a PC Pwr. & Clg. 1Kw and a
CoolerMaster 1250w. In one PC I have a Asus Striker Extreme and it reports low
volts like your getting with both units and it's been restarting randomly. So I moved
every to a Asus P5K and all my volts are slightly high and it runs like a Beast with
both units. I'm RMA'ing the Striker Extreme, it works sometimes and sometimes it
doesn't. I'm thinking you have the same problem I'm having.

My ram timings are stock 4-4-4-15 at 2.0-2.2 V, So its not that.. im running the ram stock at 800mhz because im running a 400Mhz ext clock no need to overclock the ram for nothing! Yeah im starting to think eaither the motherboard or the ram for sure! I just need to find a floppy so i can run some memtest 86 And then that will let me know if its the ram or mobo!

Thanks for all the reply's and keep um coming!

That would be full load temp! It Idles around 31c and full loads at around 38c Sometimes if its hot in my room it will hit a low 40s at full load

I got about 8 120mm in the case and a Nice zalman cooler! With As5

EDIT: I just got done running Memtest86 "floppy" Verison for 3 and 1/2 hours!! NO ERRS!

Last thing i can think of now is its eaither the OS "vista Home" , Drivers Or Motherboard!

Check the northbridge cooler and make sure it is up to par. I had one die on my DFI board, got random crashes, drove me crazy, finally saw the fan had died. Upgraded since then, but it can't hurt to look...

The north and the south are passive cooled! And i added fans to both! I did away with vista and went back to XP< Still freezing up! Has to be eaither the mobo or cpu... More leaning towrds the mobo! RMA TIME! If anyone has anything else to think.. Let me know! Thanks

EDIT: Ok CHECK IT OUT.... Set bios back to default stock everything, RUNS PERFECT!! SO what is it? Mobo or cpu?? IM STUCK.. Should i just rma both?
