OCZ GameXStream 700W

Robust Graphics Booster : Auto
CPU Clock Ratio: 9X
CPU Host Clock Control: Enabled
CPU Host Frequency: 200
PCI Express Frequency: 100
Performance Enhance: Standard
System Memory Multiplier: 2.0 (400MHz)
Memory: 5-5-5-12 (2.1v) everything else auto
High Speed DRAM DLL Settings: Option 1

Try 5-5-5-15? And why do you need 2.1v on the memory at 400MHz? Good memory should run at 1.8v at its rated speed, or at least 1.9.

How about your load temps? I 'm sure there pretty good, should be under 50c with the stock cooling.

Sounds like a RAM problem!

Try testing one stick at a time, or maybe swap it if you can from your own rig.

That is a bit high for stock Ram volts as previuosly mentioned try it at 1.8v, though it should be fine as long as the case has decent airflow up to around 2.2v

Try "Option 2" for the ram settings, and maybe CPC "Off' (2T)

You also might want to disable the robust graphics booster, and the CPU host clock control too!

well, you were right about it being the RAM.

I ran memtest86+ on it at stock (1.8V for the RAM) and it failed test 7 on a consistent basis.

RMAed to newegg for some replacements.

I'll be back with an update once I get them.

Thanks for the feedback!!

got the replacement ram.

That was definitely the problem.

I'm now running stable at 1.9V on the RAM, 1.425V on the Vcore

Overclock is at 3.2GHz and Prime-Orthos stable.

Just wanted to update this thread.

Have a great day!!

I picked up THIS memory as a replacement and it's working great.

I'm at 9X 360MHz for an overclock of 3240

I have the memory at a 1:1 which puts it at 720MHz.

Should the memory I ordered be able to push past the 800Mhz it's rated for and allow me to run it at a 2.4x or 2.5x multiplier (864MHz or 900MHz)

LMK.

Thank you.

Very stable ram for overclocking. Currently running at DDR1000 with times 4-4-4-15 @ 2.1v. Ram on memtest for 3 hours with no errors.

Here is some helpful test results for overclockers. My setup includes motherboard P5N32-E 680i chipset with bios version 0903 and CPU Core 2 Duo 6600E SL9S8. I tested for 3 hours showing no errors with memtestx86 ver 3.3 for the following settings 5-5-5-15 @ 1.85v DDR800 / 4-4-4-12 @ 1.95v DDR800 / 4-4-4-12 @ 2.05v DDR900 / 4-4-4-15 @ 2.1v DDR1000. The board temp increased by 2°C from lower to top specs on stock cooling.

That was in one of the first reviews of the ram at New Egg...I think it should be more than enough to get past 900MHZ

You ever run Super Pi 1MB test on that rig?

If you want a program to play with memory timings while in windows, check out the "Beta" version of Memset if you have a P-35 board, or the regular 3.3 version for all other chipsets.

Well, I guess my board is not as good as the one the user in the quote has.

I was able to get 864MHz @ 2.1V (4,4,4,15)

My 1M SuperPi (Dual Instances) is 19.921s

I'm going to run Orthos to see how stable the memory is. I know the CPU is 19hr Orthos stable at 9x360 @ 1.50V (the BIOS is set at 1.5V but speedfan, cpu-z and EasyTune 5 say 1.46V) but I have yet to test the RAM oc in conjunction with the CPU oc

Wish me luck.

Thank you for your help!!

Or...you might not be "Tuning" the voltages/bios as well as he did.

There are tons of setting that effect stability, Hell...I am not even all that sure what some of them do!

Also..he might have been using 2T (Command per clock OFF)

1T is faster, but less stable or often won't even run much above 800-900MHZ.

Well, thank you for your help through this. I think I've gone about as far as I, personally, can. Perhaps there's more to pull out of the rig but, I don't know enough to do the digging.

Again, thank you for the help!!
