Default System beeps

To keep it short and to the point

helping friend put pc together
New comp, new parts

first boot(no CD or HD connected) went fine, but when i tried to go into set up the bios, no respose to pressing the Delete key
soooo
turn off and restart
still no keyboard response

change the keyboard connector to all the different usb ports, and tried to connect via a USB to PS2 adaptor, still no response.

now it starts to go strait to checking for something to boot off of or something like that....
it check for a CD, says it couldnt find, then it checks for Floppy, couldnt find. (both because they werent connected, then starts a system beep which is short consistent beeps with no pattern.

so after cursing this kid, because this fool didnt have an extra keyboard

i just want to be done.....
which is not the thing to do with computers

so i connect the CD drive via SATA(wtf sata disk drive??? been a while since ive looked at them but before they were crap drives anyways) i ask him to put in the vista cd to try to format and get this show on the road. then it said that AWD(forgot the second word, but like system, or some ****) which is the asus award biod checker, i think. then i ask him to put in the bios cd. says that it cant find this file and asks for me to put it in and do to not turn off or restart... /sigh he put in the wrong cd. i looked around and i couldnt find the CD, i guess he lost it or ASUS doenst put out a CD for the bios. so left with out any CD, and no computer to get on the internet at his house i didnt have any options, so i had to turn it off. now when i try to turn it on again it has nothing but a long consitant beep, (ram problem??) i dont know what this problem is cuz i couldnt find out what the beeps ment because the manual is usless. Now i feel useless, and thats why when i came home i came here to ask u

could it

a) just a bad keyboard or a jumper for the keyboard which comehow cleared the bios compeletly
c) some other fulty part
b)something else
d) my sheer stupidy, which is edvident through my inablitly to spell, or put letters in the correct order
e) PSU?

i know its hard to help but maybe youve had the same problem

its an ASUS mobo
Core 2 duo e6600
8800 GTX BFG overclocked (OH YEAH!!)
patriot ddr 800 ram
silverstone 750 or 760watt mobo

i dont know how to contact this guy, i just know where he lives, so im not sure on the exact mobo

My guess is a corrupted BIOS do to turning it off when it wasn't supposed to be turned off.
I have done it myself on an old Abit board.

it is, i dont know why it would try to flash the bios with a driver CD, but i guess it did

its giving a

bios rom checksum error(boot block)

i know u can fix by getting a new eprom chip, but are there any other options?
