Default Any good 8 series GPU cooling in the works?

Just wondering if anyone have heard of any good aftermarket 8 series GPU coolers coming down the pipe any time soon.

Air or water?I don't keep up with air cooling solutions much. The new DD block looks nice, Danger Den :: Water Blocks :: Nvidia and ATI GPU and Ram Water Blocks :: Nvidia Video Card Water Blocks :: DD - 8800 GTX . Hefty price tag though.

The new Zalman apparently conquers all at the moment.

Zalman VF900-CU Quiet Copper VGA Cooler

Also if you're on a budget check out this one -

Revoltec Graphic Freezer Pro

Better than an arctic cooler yet half the price!

I've got the XFX 8800GTX and I gotta be honest, the stock cooler works pretty damn good. The GPU hasn't gone above 52-55c even playing Oblivion with all the eye candy turned up.

Thanks for the replies so far..

hmm.. I didn't know the Zalman VF-900 CU could be fitted to the 8 series GPU, not any publication I've read says that it does.

Also, I understand that the 8 series stock gpu cooler does a nice job, but they are bulky and not very aesthetic.

Just looking for a nice 8 series GPU air cooler that's effective as well as aesthetic, there simply doesn't seem to be a huge selection to choose from like the 7 series...But I do realize devs need time

This guy got the Zally to work on his card with a minor mod...but went back to the stock cooler after a bSDO a bit later...he wasn't sure if it was his OC or the cooler, so I would keep an eye on that thread till he remounts and tests it again.

8800gtx cooler replacement - nV News Forums

I spent th last hour looking..so far that is the only thing I have seen, other than watercooling...

Out of the box, I would say you should see aftermarket coolers start popping up in the next month or so.

What kind of load temps are you geting now?

How about ducting some fresh air to the GPU from outside the case, and possibly raise the stock coolers fan rpm?

Don't have any temp data yet... I'm in the middle of my build, I already have 2 XFX 8800 GTS' for SLi. And as I'm getting parts together (almost done), I just needed to know when aftermarket cooling for the 8 series has come into fluition yet. Too new I guess...I'll be ready to start assembly in an other few weeks..

Nothing I could find, other than watercooling like I said, the stock cooling should do well for now, if your OC'ing with the suggestions I have made allready will help quite a bit...keep the outside ducting to the cards in mind as you put things together!

You gonna post some score in the HWBOT threads when its together?

Definately... I'm going nonconformist and will be running the Asus Dual Socket L motherboard and 2 FX-74's and of course the SLI'd GTS'.

Intresting...you will probably be the only guy here with that platform.

All I can say is it may get VERY intresting once they release a quad core FX CPU ugrade later this year, if you can afford them at that time
