Default Affordable Socket A heatsink?

I'm looking for a reasonably priced socket A heatsink to last me until I can afford my next computer. Any suggestions? I was looking at some Thermalright products (specifically the XP-90C), until I realied they aren't Socket A =[ haha

Well if you're not planning and going full tilt overclocking it and just need something to throw a system together with.

Newegg.com - VANTEC VA4-C7040 TMD (Tip-Magnetic Driving) CPU Cooler - Retail

I used to run one of those for nearly a full year back in 2003-2004. Nothing special, but very affordable. Believe it or not, that used to be a 40 dollar unit once upon a time.... I can't believe I paid that much now days - but lots of us did.

Zalman 7000s also normally come with socket A hardware too and they're about 30~ dollars.

Helpfull as always Iateronmly, but I would be willing to pay a little bit more for a heatsink with a more interchangable size fan. That thing does have 14mm on my current hs fan tho haha.

Okay then... Scythe Katana's aren't that bad and they use 92mm fans. If this was even a year ago it'd be a lot easier - but over the last 6 months especially everyone has been getting rid of their socket A stuff, and what's left is low end. Maybe someone here will chime in with having an older thermalright cooler they're not using anymore.

I love this heatsink. At 2.3Ghz, It keeps it at a cool 36C (amb/mobo: 25C) and on load keeps it too a warm 40-41C, and Thats on Medium setting (I think appr Halfway). On High Setting it Practically stays at 36C on load, But it can be a bit loud.

This heatsink is awsome! Before installing it I ran some tests to gauge my future gains. The cpu booted up at 30C and got up to 47C on full load with the stock heatsink/fan. I also have approximatley 100cfm going in and out of my case at all times, so ambient temp is pretty good. Once installed I set the fan to the lowest setting and it booted up at 26C, then rose to 36C on full load. Pretty sweet for 27cfm. The fan that comes with this cooler goes up to around 70cfm, but it is really loud. I plan on lapping the heatsink once I finish testing the limits of the fan that comes with it. I also bought another high cfm fan to test out as well, so I'll be busy tonight
