Default fan dying?

is my fan dying? i have a rheobus and i turned up my rear fan in my case then it started a noise kinda like a viabrating screw or somthing loose, i turned down my fan then it stoped. i tested my other fans in my case saw if they did that then i went back to that fan and it started doing it again. i taped it a couple times trying to see if it would stop but then it didnt. it started making a lower humming noise so i turned off my computer turned it back on and it stoped with the lower humming noise and started with the rattleing sound again.

im thinking that my fan is dying but what do you guys think?

it sounds it, you can peel up the corner of the sticker on the back and use some thin oil (not WD40 it's mostly kerosene) electric razor oil is good, then replace the sticker. it will only give you a few more months though it's just a band aid fix..... and if it's a really important fan, dont' be cheap just buy a new one....

Have you tightened the screws holding it in place?

I'd have to agree with Buzz. Fans are cheap, even for the best ones. Better safe than sorry. At least it's not your HSF.
