Post Video card fan question. Need help.

Video card fan question. Need help.

I had this for like a while on a older pc and forgot all about it. Found it while cleaning out my storage unit.

I have a GeForce 4 440 MX Series Video Card the gpu fan died on it.

I need a replacement fan but i need it to be about the same thickness ans the stock one so I can use

all the pci slot next to it or install a slot cooler

I have enclosed a picture of the video card is just like th one in the picture that I found on the web

This has a 2 pin power connection.

Which way would be better to power this.

1) Find a fan with a 2 pin connector.

2) Or use some kinds of adapter to connec to the pc's power supply.

3)Or to a spare mother board 3 pin connector

GeForce4 MX440

The specs

Here are some fan I might be able to use, I need some help deciding on which ones to get, And if you can suggest a better fan or better prices on a gpu fan for this card let me know.

I dont need any fancy gpu fans or any light on it.

It will be used for a childrens pc so that can do there work, play games and play learning games.

Newegg chipset fans

Here the one I wanted to get >>>
Thermaltake CRYSTAL ORB (A1178) VGA Chipset Cooling Fan - Retail

Thanks in advanced.

Simple. Thermal epoxy an old Pentium 1/2 heatsink on the GPU.

Thats my old 440MX with a Pentium MMX heatsink fan. Allowed for a pretty high overclock too

On a card like that you could go "passive" easily... Check out Aerocool or Zahlman's picks..
