Where Can I Get 1...............Thermalright SP-97

Thanks to everyone that responded to my question ......Which heatsink is better?.....I have decided on the SP-97 to go with my Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe and my AMD AthlonXP 3000+ However, I have only been able to fine one place that sells it. $85.00 Does anyone know where I can find the best price?

You could Froogle it, check on eBay, Buy.com, overstock.com, amazon, or even check on Pricewatch. If I'm not back in 5 minutes with an answer for you, just wait longer...

The news is not so good if you have your heart set on that SP 97... Just linking from the Thermalright website to their authorized resellers list of links, I couldn't find the SP97 anywhere for sale. You might have to bite the bullet and go with your second choice...

Thermalright allows you to buy directly from them, you could try following the FAQ (http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/m...eneral.htm#q14) and you could get lucky, but I have to say that it's doubtful since that model was discontinued in favor of the SI-97A.

Thanks to HIBIKI I found a thermalright SP-97. I went to the thermalright web site and found their direct customer support e-mail and telephone #.
George left the following e-mail messages:

Hi,Ronnie:

After conversation on the phone I found a SP-97 in my spare parts shelf. It's NEW one. You get 40% off from retail price $55.00, So it costs $33.00 plus UPS shipping charge.

Usually a manufacturer will not sell direct to the public, but obviousely sometimes they do. If you can't find something.....go directely to the source. Lesson Learned.

WOW, I can't believeit!

I just received my heatsink and it hasent even been 24 hours yet and the shipping cost was only $3.70.

When George said hes was going to ship it right away he wasen't kidding!

I really like the way the heatsink bolts right THRU the MB and it's 100% copper unlike the SI-97.

Yes, it's a great heatsink. Too bad the chances of another one of us getting one are slim. I would have liked one of those rather than my Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu LED, even tho it's pretty good as well.

Wow, that idea actually worked?! Congrats on the SP-97, I have a Thermalright XP-90 and it has convinced me that Thermalright makes quality goods.
