Default Cooling a radeon 8500le

Im debating between the vantec iceberg and the tt crystal orb. Heard good things about them both, but that the tt is better since it has way more cfm. Which would people suggest? Any other coolers that would work good, but wont break the bank (zantec is pretty much out)

If you have an ATI built Radeon like mine, then the heatsink is thermal appoxied to the GPU and is not easy to remove.

I did mod my 8500 and used AS Thermal Apoxy adding a Crystal Orb to my card.

The cooling is sufficient, it can not be easily undone, and the orb is a little noisy. I would consider the Iceberg as well, it was not available at the time for me.

Remember that the GPU is located very close to the edge connector on the card so you need to be carefull about how you place the heatsink so that it doesn't prevent your being able to insert the card into the AGP slot.

about attaching the hs to the card. Since theres no holes for me to screw the hs onto the card, i guess im stuck with either epoxy or the thermal pad. Now i know the thermal pad sucks, but i dont want to have to go out and buy thermal epoxy, id rather just use whats included. Is the thermal pad REALLY that bad a thing, or is it more of a rumor of it being as bad as people say?
