I see from your other post that your wanting to OC your XP2200+.

That is a pretty hot running chip from the start and if you get so far into the OC that your uping the voltage then your really going to have heat problems with that Volcano 9.

The SK-7 is probably the best choice for you, it's not real expensive and gives very good performance. The SLK-800 is a little bit better, but probably not $20 better.

I have the SLK-800 and love it. But I installed an SK-7 in a friend's rig and I have to say that it mounted like a dream. Firm and definitly a good thermal joint. Your fan will work fine with it but you will probably have to leave te fancy cool-mod lighted fan grill off if you have that also.

I've got the SK-7 w/ the Smart Case Fan II on my 2100+. It's been working great. Plus, you've already go the fan, and you can get the SK-7 for 20 bones fromwww.svc.com . Can't beat that

I got a Volcrappo 9 and I have temperatures of 40c load @ 4800rpm and my CPU overclocked to 1.75ghz. It idles @ 38c @ 4800rpm. My case temperature is hovering around 36c. I will be changing to an SLK-800 or an SK-7 sometime in the near future.

The SmartFan2 will work fine, and some Vinyl Dye will do wonders on that ugly orange color.
