Question Is the CPU fan in backwards?

I just dusted the inside of my computer and took off the smaller fan inside (CPU fan?) and i am not sure if there is a "certain way" of what faces up and what faces down. i dont want anything to burn.. or anything else that can happen.... and i cant rememeber what side faced down when i initially took it off... there is a side with a silver sticker... with info on it and on the other... there is a blue type sticker.... with the name of the fan on it i believe... what side is suppose to be facing you when u open ur case?

also what happens if it is the opposite way?

thanks

oh yeah, and im running the computer right now...not sure if that matters... (current sticker side up - blue with the brand name i believe).

On that fan direction issue, I recall that most CPU fans should blow towards the HS (crude description for heatsink: hunk of varyingly heat-proportionate metal betweeen cpu and fan), and that there should be a slightly more powerful pulling power out towards the rear of the case overall, which is why this section (IMO) is best reserved for 92MM's and up, meaning something, like this might describe:

There shoudl be arrows on one side of the fan, one shows fan direction and one shows which way air flows. if its not there, sorry, my ghey ass work filters do not allow me to see images on this site for some reason.

PM me if you like.
