| Garden...hose? Wow thas like...super serious old skool. Can you get a sketch up...in not how what you mean by "square" on top. And there are cheap blocks out there man.Just from the sound of your post, its like you've come through a time warp from say...5/6 years ago ![]() | ||

| That would be at least 1 inch (or whatever the metric equivalent is). You need to describe what you want better. However, don't expect to get anything machined for free, you will end up spending more on building a custom block than buying a mid-range block. But, to each their own. If you want to mod it, go for it. | ||

| Direct Cool Hoe | 25.4mm = 1 inch your basic measurement for a socket "A" water block is 40mm x 40mm here is the mobo mounting hole dimentions as well... you need a hella'va reducer to fit garden hose fittings...please tell me you are not trying to just run water through it from a hose bib...water is a resource that shouldn't be used like that... There are millions of types, but it's really just a water port on the outside or inside of most dwellings/buildings: http://plumbing.hardwarestore.com/52...ose-bibbs.aspx | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 1st. the 2mm thing. i need a metal square on the top of the waterblock because i have a clip that will mount it to the mobo. 2nd. i live in bumfxck nowhere alaska. we have our own well. i can run the hose right back in. 3rd. alaskan winters get really cold. so i can run cold. and during the summer the water is cooled by the permafrost. 4th. yes i am aware i will need reducers thats fine. nething else? ne serious inquiries? | ||

| There are a few problems. Running the host that far you will need a powerful pump to do it. The water will probably not be very clean meaning that it will corroud and clog your waterblock. You will probably freeze the lines in the winter since it is outside. Not only that but whats with this I need bull****. It says no where in your post that you will pay them for their services and you really need to take some measurements and make some sketches. Then think about it for a while. Im not saying it can not be done it simpily is stupid and will led to problems in the end. | ||

| of course i would pay. all i'm looking for here is someone interested in making a waterblock. ive taken many factors into consideration beleive me. and as for measurements and details i'd much rather find an interested party before going through all that. and as for my rep i don't care. i'm sick of seeing prodominant negativity in forums. there are those out there who think they are better because they are more knowledgable about things that others arent, and they are just ignorant. everybody is gonna be better at something than you. forums are for socialising, but when you turn it into a high school with preppy attitudes and ratingsystems then the whole thing just goes to hell. although i do understand how it feels explaining things to people when they are absolutely wrong. tends to get aggrivating ......but i'm off topic! yeah there are cheap blocks out there but thats just what they are cheap blocks. i want something to my specification, and because i have neither the tools or supplies i am seeking outside assistance. just let me worry about pumps, filters, freezing and whatnot. | ||

| I'm not going to flame you because im rather intrigued by your idea, and you seem to have some sort of plan for everything. I think though, that it might be a good idea to not run garden hose all the way to your blocks. Garden hose is big, heavy, and inflexible. It'd probably be better to run hose too your rig and then convert it to standard sized tygon or whatever for inside your rig. | ||

I'm sorry you feel that way dood... This is PR not the machinist friggen union.... Don't dis our rep system it works for us... And how in the hell are we supposed to know where you live and what is in your well? You would be better off to give complete details and maybe a rough drawing if you want some help here...There are a couple of members that can do the machining, but with an attitude like you copped at the first sign of questions, Phat chance of getting their help... Now if you post a drawing, of what you might need, we would be more than happy to look at it and see what can be done...thanks for your patience...~Z | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| yea, sorry bout the tude, i just graduated and it was a pain. i sincerely apologise, and i didnt mean to rag the rep system. no i don't expect everyone to know what i have planned but some people could ask first. all i was looking for was somebody to make me a block. as for the pic i posted the info i wanted, as for other aspects of everything i was waiting for a serious reply. i appreciate all good intentions. and yea i was going to put i/o fittings on the outside with a knob so i could control the flow. | ||

| rockerton what do you want ? give me a drawing and some specs and ill bang some copper for yea for $$$ ive got materials on hand .but the bigger problem will be condensation proofing your pc thats a massive job and if you screw up pfft ...smoked pc ,so dont think you can get away without it at sub ambient temps.and you do realize a custom block will cost way more than a DangerDen ect...
