CNPS 7000 on Asus K8V SE Deluxe

Hi everybody,

I was trying to install Zalman CNPS 7000 on Asus K8V SE Deluxe but i noticed that I cannot remove the original backplate on the Mobo since it seemes that is glued to the motherboard. Any ideas on how to remove the backplate?

first of all, welcome to Pimprig!!

dude it took me a good hour to get mine off. you just have to pry very carefully at it . i used a plastic knife to start it, then just used my fingers the rest of the way---it was a pain....

Use a blowdryer on low heat and get it warm. Get a hard piece of plastic like a plastic butter knife and go around the outside gently prying at it while you pull on it. It will come off eventually.
