| i'm changing my ram out and i want to know how to removethe heat spreader with out causing damage to my old ram? also i have a fan controler that has temp probes and i want to put them so they test my CPU and video card where should i put them and how do i get them their? | ||

| Leave it in the freezer over night, that might help undo the adhesive. Other people do this with GPU RAM sinks. I don't have a link offhand, though I'm sure a search on this site would reveal something. Be careful though, cause most of those techniques involve twisting, not sure if you can do it with the RAM. And I'd be wary of other little metal clips or whatnot built in. Temp probe, just lay it next to the GPU, and for the CPU, stick the wire through the ZIF socket and lay it under the proc. There should be info from a search readily available as well. | ||
