| Is there any possible way to mount this on the Abit NF7-S, or am I totally fscked and out $50? ...Still on a bender from paint fumes, so that's not helpin me think too clearly... and yes.. the painting was done outside... plenty of ventilation... And yeah... I'm posting from my Compaq that I ditched a year and a half ago cause my rig is in pieces all over the floor in my room right now... til I can figure out how to get the sink on there.. otherwise I have to swap the Aero onto it.. which.. uh.. seems rather fscking stupid after spending money on a *GOOD* cooler.. ![]() Last edited by TheOutcast; 09-July-04 at 09:50 PM.. | ||

| It is a Rev. 2 board... has the holes.. problem is, there's some caps that're.. half to an inch away from the socket... and the HSF is big... The NF7-S is listed on the incompatible list too... I'm wondering if there's a workaround out there that Zalman didn't think of (probably cause they didn't want to break boards all day long).... I'm pretty close to thinking I'm completely SOL.. | ||

| Seems to me that people have Dremeled off part of the fins for clearance, there are pics of it out on the net, can't remember where though...I think the early revisions of that HSF are theones that need to be modded, but the later versions were revised for better clearance. | ||

| Actually, now that I have them in my way... ![]() It appears that it will fit if I mount the brackets that use the screw holes backwards.. only problem is I can't use the ZIF socket lever while they're on (OH DAMN) ... so.. all *might* be well in my camp tonight... Haven't fitted the beast of a sink to it yet.. was putting the now-dry front panel of my chieftec on ![]() | ||

| Outcast you have to chop that clip i had to do the same with my epox board ,ill be honest with ya the thing is pretty tough but its doable.one other little i might be able to give you is when you mount the thing and have the dremial out chop out a square on the mobo plate that way if you ever have to replace or go to h2o you wont have to take out the board just the side panels.Check BA review on the cooler and there is a link in the comments section,he posted a link on what boards it will fit and if you have to chop or not.And the cooler is great i have one and running low 30s. | ||
