Question socket 939s?

will a zalman 7000a fit on a socket 939? if not, what HS will?

my friend just handed me a check for his new computer. it's freakin ridiculous. he'll be the first person i've talked to with a 939 proc AND an X800. at least my monitor is bigger than his.

i cant see why not - those very decent hsf's were desgined for the 64series sockets and heatsink mount - just check the manual for socket 940/754 installation.

while a little , im wondering why you didnt buy the full copper version?

7000a doesn't designate aluminum/copper or copper just style. 7000a-cu = copper, 7000a-alcu = copper/aluminum. Also in the head to heat tests they score the same within less of 1c variation..

basically, and since all this will be in a black case with no windows, looks don't matter.
