Default removing socket 462 HSF

My friend has a stock HSF on his socket 462 and he doesn't know which way to push the clip to remove it. He's like really scared he would break it and I am not familiar with the clips for amd HSFs any suggestions?

there just normal clips, just give a little downward pressure and guide it away from the CPU/ZIF socket......

AMD clips can be difficult and quite argumentative at time, but givent the right amount of pressure in the right place will come off easily - so long as they arent under $10 and made by coolermaster .

On the metal clip support there should be a central slot area where a flathead screwdriver will go - put one in there, and push down so the clip move down, almost to touching the motherboard.

Next you can either push the screwdriver towrds the HSF to make the clip slide under the plastic holders, or you can use a second flathead screwdriver to pull the clip away. After this primary clip is removed, its easy going- the whole unit can be lifted off the socket.

I think THIS amd document has any other details you might need.
