Default Passive Cooling

I'm looking at a quiet, fanless cooling solution for the Pentium 4 that doesn't require a water pump. It looks like ThermalTake has one offering:

I'm wondering, has anyone used this or have any opinions about it?

You know, I noticed that before...thin curved and short copper fins meant for server. I think it would work so long as you didn't plan on doing much overclocking...and had enough air flow.

Something tells me the processor stays a little hotter than average...

You really should check into the Zalman CNPS7000 HSF's. I know they;re not passive, but you'd think they were given the extreme silence of the fan (even at top speed). They're great and the cooling just can't be beat!

BA, How's this?

Again ?

That's the third time I've thought "Ooh, great ! Wixx is back !" ... only to find it's a noob (no offense CRE, but it's a rookie error) that's bumped a long dead thread

Talking Sorry guys,

Sorry guys, I just couldn't resist.

Yeah, this one was intentional.... BA, I tried very hard to find a thread older than this, but I just couldn't come up with one.

BTW - Where is Wixx? I've heard others asking, but I haven't seen any answers.

HA! Jokes on you CRE! I saw this thread after you posted it and knew what you were doing. I thought I'd just let you hang out to dry until you had to explain it to the other members.

I IM'ed him a while back, apparently he's very busy with a lot of stuff, especially studying.

He has a sequel to the Caffeine Machine in planning
