| You can use Ketchup or Orange Juice to clean the copper surfaces. Orange Juice is the easiest way. Take it off and soak it for 30 minutes in Orange Juice, rinse it off with water and blow it dry with compressed air. It will look brand new. But make sure it's totally dry before you use it again ![]() | ||

I think lemon juice would have more acid in it then the orange juice. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Aside from the OJ & Ketchup, some water and baking soda mixed into a relatively watery paste and a clean, lint-free rag will do nicely as well. If the rag hangs on the surface of the heatsink, there are burrs or irregularites, and you might as well lap the surface before re-installing... To cut off the "why OJ/ketchup?" questions: it has to do with the acidity of the chosen cleaning agent. The acid eats the crud build-up and leaves the sink looking shiny and new... Back when I was watercooling, I had some build-up inside the block, and not much was working (old toothbrush, etc). Couple drops of ketchup, spread evenly and let sit, then wipe off. | ||
