Default Fan wiring question

I am putting together a new pc and have a fan question. My system consists of
Lain-Li inferno case
Thermaltake 750 watt modular psu
Asus P5 x38 motherboard
4 gigs or Corsair ram
Intel 2 core wolfdale cpu 3.0g
500 gig sata hard drve
2 sata optical drives
Zalman ZM-MFC 1 fan controller
Evga 8800 gt video card

My question involves wiring the fans through the fan controller. My cpu fan and my memory cooler fan I just want to run direct and not through the controller. However I have several 80mm and 120 mm case fans I would like to run through the controller and adjust as needed. MY modular wire will go from the power supply to energize the controller the way I see it.It has the beefy 4 wire connector with a red, 2 black, and a yellow wire. The outputs for the fans however are very small 3 wires. How should I proceed? I'm not sure the tiny wires could handle the current of the big fans, or am I mistaken?

You are mistaken.

Think of it like this...

A fan takes only a small current. In terms of a fast food beverage, it's a root beer.
The straw you get with your root beer is narrow, but that's not a problem as the root beer has a low viscosity. You don't have to strain to create enough suction to drink the root beer.

Your video card takes more current to run. In terms of a fast food beverage, it's a I.C. Caramel from Panera Bread.
The straw you get with that is HUGE as the shake has a high viscosity and sucking that through a regular straw will make you rupture something.

The wire size depends on how much juice the component is sucking. Ideally you want them matched, but having a bigger gauge wire than is required is not going to hurt. Having smaller wires trying to supply a lot of power will make them heat up like a light bulb.

There are molex to 3 pin fan connectors available. Such as: Link
