Default CPU cooler

I'm looking into CPU coolers for a new computer I will be buying soon. I've done a bit of research and come up with a few coolers that should fit my needs. The problem is, I don't know which one would be best. These are what I'm looking at:

Newegg.com - Thermalright XP-90C CPU Copper Heatsink - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Newegg.com - Thermalright SI-128 CPU Cooling Heatsink - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Newegg.com - Thermaltake CL-P0478 80mm CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

I'm leaning toward the XP-90C because its copper and I would think it would disperse heat more efficiently. I'm looking for passive cooling or silent fans and the coolers have to be less than 100mm tall to fit in the Tt Lanbox. I'm open to other suggestions and willing to pay up to $50.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can tell you a little bit about the SI 128. I have it on my Q6600 with a 120mm fan. Overclocked to 3.2GHz, I idle around 37°C and with a full Folding @ Home SMP load I hit around 59°C

Kinda finicky with the install, I had to redo mine a couple of times. But it works pretty well.

I just installed an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro on my new e8400, and temps are sweet ... in the mid-upper 30's idle. Haven't really stressed it yet, but it's fairly silent (need to replace my case fans, didn't realize how loud they were.) it's a bit smaller, I think, than the Noctua UH-09 I had on my socket 478 CPU, and installation was a breeze. Only $33.99 (including shipping) from Newegg.com Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Thanks for the info, I'm definitely considering it.

Sounds great, but the only problem is that it won't fit. It's 126mm tall and I have to have less than 100 because the PSU mounts right above the CPU in the Thermaltake Lanbox.

I'm sure any one of the coolers I've looked at would be fine. I don't plan on doing much overclocking so as long as temps don't get past 60°C, I don't really care. It just sucks to buy one CPU cooler when there might be another out there that works better and for roughly the same money.

I've got a spare stock cooler that came with my e8400 ... supposed to be reasonably good and fairly quiet, compared to previous stock coolers. I could ship it to you, if you like.

Thanks for the offer but I am also going to get an E8400, so I'll prob just use the stock cooler if it suits my needs.

I dont know if you cant fit this one its 110mm so it might be a close call but it gets good reviews. Newegg.com - Thermaltake CL-P0401 110mm Full-Range Fan CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

*scratch that was looking at wrong specs*

this one i have presonally used and its smaller the only thing i did was put a different fan on it i put a fan from a thermal take valcano 12+ on it lol =D it cooled my intel 820d really well and let me hit 3.6ghz on that without a problem.

Newegg.com - TR2TT TR2-M12 80mm Ball CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
