| Right now, all of the HSF's in my computer are stock. I want to get a new CPU cooler, a new cooler for my video card, and a new chipset cooler. I was wondering what recommendations you guys have. My video card is a GeForce4 5200FX w/ 256 MB. My motherboard can be found here: http://tomshardware.bizrate.com/mark...-10622380.html (originally I bought it from TigerDirect...I can't find it anywhere now...) I have a 2.4 P4. Any suggestions or links are welcome, and it would be great if I could buy everything from the same place to save on shipping. Thanks! | ||

i have never heard of a Geforce 4 5200 FX toms hardware should be the last place you look at anything same should be said for tigerdirect www.newegg.com is the place you aughtta be http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...109-114&depa=0 is the heatsink you need u really shouldnt concern yourself with chipset...and DEFINATELY shouldnt worry about video, considering u prolly arent doing any serious overclocking, and neither of them should be that hot anyway... and F*CK the french

| I just used Tom's Hardware to show the motherboard....I've never bought anything from there. And ok this is my vid card, I just typed from memory http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...8503&CatId=933 And I would like to start overclocking...which is why I want new stuff... | ||

kk, save some cash, and throw a fan on that heatsink, seriously, the card you are using...IMHO...doesent constitute the need for anything beyone maybe just adding a small chipset fan or whatever... if your chipset has a heatsink on it, do the same, if it dont (LOL) then your overclocking potential with that board is probably not going to matter wether you watercool it or spit on it... EDIT: oops, it does have a hs on chipset, so yah, if i were you, id just go to newegg and grab a couple of these ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...129-036&depa=0 ) and mount them to the top of your existing sinks...

a good start would be to investigate online the limitations of your hardware, searching google, forums, even PR, and finding out how well others have done with said video, mobo, etc... make those your realistic goals, hell bro, you might even be able to hit them with what you got, but the biggest, and most forgotten rule of overclocking is this... your system is only as strong as its weakest component...

| I guess I'll get to googling then. I doubt anybody here has the same mobo as me, but if you do post here or drop me a PM on what kind of luck you've had with it. Same goes for the video card... EDIT: I think my motherboard may have been discontinued, or something along those lines. I can't seem to find much on it and the stores that used to sell it don't anymore.
