Here's an easy way to tell if the "super strength" electrical tape can withstand 200+F. Go buy you some of it, and put a couple pieces of tape in the oven, warm it up to 200 degrees and see if it melts...lol jk man don't try that, but I would go with the electrical tape. I mean, your not going to be putting this stuff underneath the processor, so I would not worry too much about it peeling off or you having any real problems with using it though.

anything that can withstand up to 180 degrees F should be more than enough, unless you do plan on putting it on your cpu. I dont recommend putting it on your cpu though for the simple fact that all your doing there is making a gap between your heatsink and processor, that and a processor can get pretty damn hot. If you want to monitor your cpu temp/load, blah blah blah, id suggest getting a program called coolmon. Just google it up and youll find it. I personally put my probe on my ram to monitor the different temps on different games and so on. Sorry no pics though, for pics again just google.

With the CPU and HSF installed on the mobo, you can tape the probe at the seam where the HSF meets the CPU (on the HSF.....of course) and you'll get a decent reading and use that reading along with using MBM5 to get an idea of where your temps are at.

or you could get one of them there fancy new water blocks, move up to water cooling, and have a nifty hole to stick you temp probe in

...right?

i personally think that temp sensors are silly unless you REALLY are trying to get every last degree C, i mean honestly, with MBM5 or the like, you get something thats prolly only off by a few degrees at the most, aint hta good enough?
