Does your cooling work for your wife?

Just wondering what you married guys have to say about your wife and cooling. I use a TT Volcano 7 i believe and my wife hates it. I have all my fans speed controlled ro cut down on noise but it still bothers her. I wake up every morning with my computer off thanks to my wife. I find it kinda funny but my wife doesnt, how about you guys?

I don't have issues with it, so that's all that matters for a single guy like myself.

I had the Volcano 7 too. When I switched heatsinks, I took the fan off and use it for a case fan, so I still get the noise. Wife never says anything. House is too big for her to really notice.

Mine understands that modding and tweaking are a big part of my life. I'm lucky.

im single, and still live at home. Sometimes i leave my PC on all night and i can sleep fine, sometimes i cant. but i mostly leave it off at night because i have a cool Red LED that lights up the inside the PC really good.

My wife doesn't mind.... usually. I keep my fans turned down except for when I'm gaming... but then she complains more about my speakers which are much louder.

My wife used to bring up how noisy my computer was but she didnt complain. Just about a week ago I started noticing how noisey it was and went investigating. Found a case fan with a horrible vibration due to the bearing being out - replace that and now its down to a almost silet whirrr.

I've got a good while until I'm married, but considering I've got a jet engine of a computer (Not a fan of the Volcano 9), I really don't mind it all that much. It's quite a shock when it's off, but I think most people can get over comptuer noise in at most 4 days (being generrous). I used to have a lizard, so there were crickets in my room, and I got used to that.

Of course, we are dealing with women here

I have a lizard but the crickets never escape. My computer is really loud but my girlfriend doesn't care she thinks it's really neat and likes to brag about it to her friends, kinda odd for a girl to do but she is awsome.

fan noise is weird as hell to me...

when I first turn my rig on for like the first half hour it's silent, then the longer I stay near it the louder it seems.

Same with my pump, when the house is silent it seems really loud but when I just shift in bed the small creak completely drowns out the pump noise...

I guess everything really is relative

Im not married, my parents which i still live with, dont care. They are used to it, and working on it keeps me buisy and out of their way so i guess thats another thing. But i didnt vote up there, there should be a not married option. But if i did it would be a combo of the last 2.

She can't complain....I just made sure her rig is louder than mine...

Well, with 4 machines running in the office alone, it's tough to tell which one is the loudest...

She's a great sport about it and loves that we're Folding and doing something good with it all.

well, mine hates computers.....thinks there stupid....i tell her that this stupid things pays for that stupid tommy hilfiger jeans your wearing, that stupid alero you drive and this stupid roof over your head....not to mention that this stupid thing puts food in your stupid mouth ( she loves that one lol)...

But no she dosesnt mind it...it is in the front room....ALL OF THEM! with a corner desk that takes up a 1/6th of the room.....

When we moved into the new house last August, I took the garage as my computer room. Three computer, two tvs, futon, recliner, workbench, xbox, fridge, deep freeze, and a weight set. The only thing she complains about is that when im gaming with my headphones on, i hear her. Is that a bad thing?
