| Ya know..this is like the 5th thread I have seen from you in 2 days...Couldn't you have combined a few of them? Or added an extra question to an existing one? "Building a new PC, need help" or something like that is what most people do here. Are we going to see a new thread for a PSU tommorow? lol I don't know much about the Thermalright cooler, the Zallman is just kinda average. | ||

| The Zalman 9500 used to be a top dog, but now is just mediocre. I haven't used that TR cooler but the reviews on it have been average. Can't compete with any of the high end coolers available. If I had to choose between the two, I would go with the 9500 just because it looks better. You really do need to watch your posts so it doesn't look like you are spamming. Instead of starting a new thread, how about bringing the question up in one of your existing threads? | ||

| Tis ok..your still somewhat new, I just wanted to bring it to your attention before it got to be an issue. Sometimes certain things do need seperate threads, however... My point is, you knew you were doing a complete build ahead of time, it would have been best to have done it all in one thread. That being said, good luck on your build..it looks like it's going to be a nice little "Hot Rod" ![]() Too bad you only have 2 choices for cooling...Like BA said, neither one of them are near the top of the pack, if your not going to OC it, it's not a huge deal..but if you are, it's going to hold you back a litle from it's full potential. | ||

| Ok,I know Im not as pro as the others on this site, but I just so happened to find this review that actually compares them, along with another HS. V I P E R L A I R .com - Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler CL-P0401 The Thermaltake V1 finishes on top of the other two coolers, besting the Zalman by 3°C at both idle and load. The Zalman was also a little higher pitched at full speed. When we configured the Thermaltake V1 to run at its lowest speed setting, the cooler was near silent but the load temperatures did go up to 43°C, which is an increase of 6°C. From the site ^ So I guess if you want it to look kinda cooler, go with the Zalman For performance, the TT But hey, thats just my input ![]() | ||

| PCApex.com - Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme Heat Sink *EDIT* LOL didn't read the options but that ThermalTake is meant to be pretty good. Or the results that I've seen have shown it handling dual cores really well. New 45nm CPU First Look-Intel C2D E8500 4.7G On Air Cooler - XtremeSystems Forums | ||

| I've been using this on my Q6600 (oc'd to 3.26 ghz) since June. I've been averaging temps around 43c idle to 53c under load. Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro w/ PWM Fan - (ACFZ7-PRO) - FrozenCPU.com ![]() | ||
