Default AGP compatibility?

This is probably a dumb Question but if I get a Fatal1ty AN9 32X, I can't use my Radeon 9600 XT can I. I know they have AGP express but it doesn't say anything about it on this board on the website. This might be a more costly upgrade than I thought. Thanks Mentyl.

Whenever you see that 'AGP Express' or similarly named things-- it's a scam, run away.

It's usually a PCI slot that's been rejiggered to have the right pinout and signal level to run AGP cards. It won't run them at full speed, and compatibility is poor.

The one exception is a handful of boards (notably the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2) that feature real AGP and PCIEx16 slots.

Thanks, Thats what I figured. I'm just trying not to spend too much for CPU/mobo, but now graphics card too. Oh well, my stuff is getting old.

Well, you could always pull an old 8Mb PCI graphics card into service for a few months until you're ready to get an 8600.
