| Hey all, I'm looking for a new mouse. I'd like it to be WIRED because I don't want to deal with recharging batteries/feeding batteries. I'd like it to have a quite of few buttons that you can program, aswell as a nice feel to it. Light (if any) must be either blue or green. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking of the mighty mouse but it costs alot for what it is. But I do like the touch sensitive buttons and scroll nipple (it goes 360 degrees) I'd like to keep the price under or around $50 | ||

| I am using the G7 mouse now and gave the MX1K to my wife, but miss it. The MX1K is the best mouse I've had ever. The G7 ain't bad, but the feel isn't as smooth at the 1K. I have read a lot about the Razor family of mice; I have never had one myself. I hear they really kick ass. | ||

| Best way to decide between Logitech's G series of mice and Razer's Copperheads is this: Grab your current mouse like you always do - do you only touch it with your finger tips or do you rest your palm on it too? If you rest your palm on it, you'll hate the Razer, if you mostly only use your fingers you'll love the Razer. They both are great lazer mice, but the ergo on them are completely different and suit different people. You can't really claim either's design is horrible because it demonstrates one size/design doesn't fit all, but you definately will like one more than the other. | ||

| I love my MX518... I'd get a G5 but I really like having both a forward and back button. What the hell were they thinking taking off the forward button?? My MX518 even tracked (not 100% perfect, but at least 80%) on a glass table. Not bad considering its not even lazer. | ||

| I'm right handed and i deffinately 'palm' my mouse. Right now I use this sucker: IBM ThinkPlus Scrollpoint ![]() I love the feel of it but its plainly wearing out, buttons don't pop back up (even after cleaning) scroll wheel has loosened from its tracking gear, and the grip stuff is peeling off. Hmm I wasn't aware that the G5-G7 were availiable in corded models | ||

On the G7 you can press the scroll to the right and left, and since using the scroll as a middle button is awful you can use the back button as the middle button. ![]()

| I can attest that while I hate that I have to swap out my G7's batteries every day or so, (not that bad when the other battery and charger is 4 inches away) I have no need for a mousepad and the 5 empty inches surrounding my mouse are quite suffient for how sensitive it is. I do kinda wish I had more buttons, and the middle button is a bit of a pain to use...(side scrolling is so rarely used...) | ||

That's another thing - Razer has razer toys with weights but you void the warranty if you use them, but not with the Logitech mice. Also with the heaviest weight in the Copperhead it's light compared to the max'd out Logitech. But it all again goes back to how you hold your mouse, with your palm on it, heavier makes sense to keep it all more balanced in terms of performance.

| have owned the G5, G7, and Razer. I still have the G7 and razer. The Razer you can't really but your palm on it, but i do like that you can change the sensitivity. The G7 is bigger and a little bit more comftrable. but it changes the DPI and not the sensitivity. For FPS i do much better with the Razer. | ||
