Default The Audacity Of My PSU Fan

Having read good reports of the Jeantech make of PSU supply, coupled with it's reasonable price (by which I don't mean the cheapest!), I bought a 450W JN1207-450-AP with 120mm model new from eBay. After about one and a half years, the other day I noticed clickety sounds coming from the part of the machine. I could see anything wrong but then the computer crashed while buring a CD. Upon reset, I peered into the PSU to see the fan rotating at a particularly slow rate, resulting in poor airflow; it could not be revitilised by toggling the fan speed switch.

I am operating the computer with a 120 mm case fan taped to the outside of the PSU and the air flow should be quite sufficient although the PSU fan, which when first switched on was completely still is now rotating and making the sort of noise I'd expect from it hiting something (although it's only intermittent). The website claims 100 000 MTBF(which I guess means 'mean time before failure') - would I be unreasonable in asking Jeantech to fix the situation?

as long as you have not opened the psu (that would void the warranty) you might be able to rma the powersuppy.. you would have to check with them as most manufactures only give a 1 year warrany

If your warranty has expired you could always just replace the fan, although this method may require you to splice the new fans wires with the ones in the PSU.
