I shouldve'd been more specific. Theirs high definition cards and regular cards. Are you looking to do something in high def?

I had the ATI TV Wonder... the first one... stay away from it.

I upgraded to a Theater550 based card. Performs smoothly for me, even under vista. Works nice with Windows Media Center.

I have the PCI-E 1x version though, I would imagine they would be the same.

Hauppauge 1062 WinTV-PVR-150 MCE Kit Tuner Card - Retail at Newegg.com

-It can control sattelite or cable boxes using its IR transmitter.
-It has a hardware MPEG-2 encoder.
-Its TV decoder is up there with the best non-HDTV tuners.
-It doesn't need to attach to your soundcard with some kind of cable.

I would also recommend using VirtualdubMod or Virtualdub MPEG-2 to compress recordings with XviD and Lame. You could also remove unwanted commercials.

Once I looked at live tv or even its S-video input, I was not able to get anything but static out of the card but static till a restart.
