| Mastah Overclocker | For around the same money, you can build an Intel Conroe rig, the E6300 is 180$, a Gigabyte DS-3 motherboard is 145$...this combo does 2.6HZ with ease on the stock cooler, and can reach 3GHZ or more with a decnt aftermarket cooler. AnandTech: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 & E6400: Tremendous Value Through Overclocking The power supply 'Wattage" does not tell the whole story, for a mid range combo like this, 500 watts is plenty! It' more about how much "Amperage" is on the 12v rail, and how steady the rails are under max load, cheap power supplies that have big wattage ratings have lots of "Ripple" and should be avoided. They often don't use high quality compononets inside (Cause what you can't see, you don't know!) and are skimpy wiht the heat sinks! A good power supply is going to be pretty heavy, that is usually a good indication that it is going to have plenty of beefy heatsinks, so check the shipping weight as another indicator (Though it is not the only factor!) Top Power is a big supplier to alot of small name brand "Generic" power supply makers, and are of high quality, so if you can find a brand that uses them....your golden! (Fu3lman just got one for 65$ from new egg, that is 500 watts, but I can't remember the brand! Drop him a PM if he misses this) You should also look at getting 2GB of ram, new games like BF-2 demand it! Look at these threads, and check out some of the links I posted! http://forums.pcapex.com/hardware_ad..._and_ddr1.html http://forums.pcapex.com/hardware_ad..._rig_help.html
