I need some advice here guys...

What I would like to do is upgrade my cpu, motherboard, videocard and ram while keeping as much of my current system as I can. I need it to be good at playing games and OC'ing

Here is what i have come up with so far..

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 4MB Retail - $399.99

ASUS P5N32-E SLI Nforce 680I SLI LGA775 Conroe ATX DDR2 2PCI-E16 PCI-E1 2PCI SATA2 RAID Motherboard - $299.99

OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit -$307.67

I left out the videocard because I am still in the dark over DX10. Would I be safe with a 8800?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated

It may be cheaper but i still have to convert that to Canadian $$$ and ship it north of the border

I dont see anything wrong with your setup.......

As for upgrading its totally up to you.....
If it was my decision id wait.......the first set of quad 4 cpu's are going to be released sometime in the first quarter next year.

Plus your system isnt too shabby yet!!!!!........keyword......

Id wait it out for a few more months......give the prices a chance to drop after the new year.

As for your next video card the 8800 is smokin'.......but remember you need two pci-e power connectors to power it up. That will be my upgrade next year when the DD waterblock for that gpu comes out.

I hate to say i know too many people jump on the bandwagon too soon and end up losing a $100 within a month just cause they couldnt wait a little longer.
