Talking Asking for advice yet again.

Quite some time ago I had posted a thread about suggestions on hardware for building a PC for my church. It went so well and and I got some great suggestions, that I ended up building a pretty decent rig for them.

THey like it so much that they asked me yet again to build them another, but this time with more power..(Isnt that awesome).

So bascially I would like some suggestions from my PCAPEX family, since you guys havnt steered me wrong...yet.

Basically its gonna have to be a dual core rig. Lots of HDD space, and minimum of 1-2 Gigs of ram. Its a computer made for LOTS of multimedia, presentations, and so one. Its gonna need to be able to connect to a heavy duty sound system for recordings...so its gotta have a nice sound setup and I gotta have at least 2 monitors running. The possibilities are endless, and since I dont have much time to look around on the net, and being on a computer in general, I was hoping you guys would help. Thanks alot in advance and God Bless.

I'd just go with a 805D, some cheap DDR2 and a decent motherboard with a Intel chipset. Sorry I'm really to lazy to provide links.

There are going to be some pretty healthy price cuts on CPU's for Intel at the end of the month when Conroe becomes officially available...I would wait till then to start purchasing hardware

Yea its a fairly large church in the central orlando area. We do alot of broadcasts at times for special pastors that come to prech and broadcast it on the 3ABN channel. (Adventist -religous channel). Real nice though. WE just recently decieded to overhaul and renew most of the equipment. !st it was the sound equipment, then we got inteligent lighting, etc. And now we are at the computers..So thats where I come in.

you will probably definately wanna go with conroe especially with the multimedia end of it.

Probably something like an E6600 would do with a descent MB and some good RAM. What is the price range you are looking at??

in fact check out perhaps the best conroe guide I have found so far

CONROE BUYING GUIDE

GOOD LUCK
