Default Touchscreens

Ive got a friend whos become very addicted to a game called Puzzle Pirates. One of the games involes moving pieces around the screen and lining them up very fast. Hes getting annoyed with having to use his mouse and was wondering if he could use a touchscreen. He basiclly just wants to touch and drag with his finger. Is that possible?

Thanks

Probably. The touchscreens I've used work that way.

Not sure if the drivers work with DirectX apps, but definitely on the desktop.

You might have problems if you need a pixel-perfect accuracy tho. And touchscreens cost a FORTUNE.

It MAY be possible, if you know how to write software, and have money. He could always use a laptop and use the mouse pad there.

You would also have to get the Display to work, which is practically impossible..

Probably not. It emulates a mouse pretty basically.

a tablet is far more accurate than a resistive touch screen at 5 lpi minimum. its why you can draw on a tablet pc or cintiq but not at a touch kiosk. in fact there are alot of tablet pc only games that take advantage on the pen accuracy.

A touch screen us basically the same as the touchpad on a laptop... its a direct driver based input that emulates as a mouse.... thus it would work...
