| I while back I bought a used LCD laptop display. My idea was to mount the display in a frame place it on the wall and use it as a second monitor. I also bought a controller that I was told would work. I mounted and framed the display thinking the hookup would be easy. It wasn't. The controller didn't seem to fit anywhere and I couldm't get the monitor to work. So $50 for the LCD, $100 for the controller, and $50 for framing and it's a frame with a black display hanging on my wall. My question is this. Can anyone get this to work. I would be more then happy to send it to you with the contoller. The only problem is that I've very strapped for funds and wouldn't really be able to pay for your service. On the back of the monitor all it says it is a TFT color display and it also has 2 wires going to a 3 connector plug. The is a laber of the side that has a set of numbers CA51001-0147 A000410 04A MEDTCB11QAF Like I said, if you think you know what you're doing I'd be more then happy to send it to you for a look. I'll try to get some photo's. I don't have a digital camera atm. Thanx | ||

| some links I found that might get you headed in the right direction http://www.grynx.com/index.php/proje...-wall-walltop/ http://www.eio.com/lcdconnect.htm http://everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=807977 Basiclly , from what ive read, and what your trying to do ( if i read your post right ) , it would be cheaper to just buy a flat screen desktop monitor than to try and convert a laptop screen to a VGA / DVI type monitor. | ||

| I found the site I bought it from. EarthLCD.com But for the life of me I can't find the model. It's about 4" square. It's underside has 64 pins sticking up in 2 rows (32x2). And next to it there are another 40 pins, also in 2 rows of 20. The front, has the female version of the 64 pins ans another 2 rows of 25 pins (50). I'll try to take a photo if I can | ||
