Default Keyboard suggestions ( installing software)

I genrally never set up the " EXTRA" buttons on my keyboards, just plug and go, but my son-in-law bought me a Logitech EX110 wireless set-up ( guess he got tired of my repeat pounding to get some of my keys to work) and I was considering setting up all the lil extra functions that it has. My question is , is it worth it or is it more of a PITA ???

Thanks for yer time , HTRN

I know all the ps2 or corded one's I have used they all functions are detected by Win Xp.

Like the volume , mute , sleep standby, play/pause track , stop track, eject cd.

Are you going to use the functions that buttons do ???

What happends when you press a button?

Does it come with a driver/setup cd?

Here is some info I found from the logitech website.

Quick and simple to set up, your keyboard and mouse will perform as fast and as reliably as any corded product.

Don´t worry about spills. Spill-resistant* design protects your keyboard and eliminates concern over little accidents.
*Tested under limited conditions (max. 60ml liquid spillage). Do not immerse keyboard in liquid.

Let me know how you like it I might get one of those had my eye on a corless combo set.

Yes. If programed the buttons can be a time saver.
However you have to remember to use them.

I work with so many diff keyboards over time that I usualy forget that my keyboard at home
has the shortcuts programed and just type in the url anyway. Or I have a short cut bookmarked
and use that.

Yup I set them up for specific keystrokes - you can have cut, paste etc, or frequently used commands in Photoshop, sketchup or anything (I'm useless at remembering the damn combos - especially the 3 or 4 key ones!)
Give it a go - at worst, you just won't use them
