Lightbulb FYI - AM2 mobos are almost here...

...well, in New Zealand anyway. I was browsing one of my suppliers (that i deal with at work) and saw that they'll have these gigabyte ones available from the end of the month (with an RRP of about USD150)

taken from http://www.giga-byte.com/Products/Mo...GA-M55plus-S3G

Anyways, I checked Newegg and they aren't listed yet so just thought that I should let you folks know

Anybody keen?

I imagine we will continue to see at least one PCI slot for a while to come as the PCI-e bus does not transfer audio as favorably for some reason.
That said, I am likely going with either the Asus M2N32-SLi (few spots are taking pre-orders now, XPCGear.com being one of them) or the MSI K9N SLi Platinum.

*Waits for DFI's Conroe boards*

DFI is doing about 12 AM2 boards in the first two months, I'd say that they would be worth checking out. But I'm still waiting for Conroe.

There are two PCI-E x1 slots and one PCI-E x16 slot which makes a grand total of three PCI-E slots on that Gigabyte board MasterP posted up. If you look really hard, you can see another PCI-E x1 slot right about the x16 slot.

Lotta nice boards coming out, inluding a non-SLi board (from Abit) that has one PCI slot, one PCI-E x16 slot, and five PCI-E x1 slots
