Default K.I.S.S. = keep it simple STUPID !!!

Like the title say, " Keep it Simple STUPID " are good words to live by and troubleshoot by too.

My reason for posting this, well here it is........

I was troubleshooting a rig today , and after clearing the BIOS to reboot , it wouldnt, so i start think all kinds of senerios about what could be fryed , shot, faulty, etc etc . What i should have done was put the cmos jumper back to normal ( i got side tracked and forgot to reset the jumper). So my advice to anyone who wants it , when troubleshooting, start out with the simplethings first and work your way up to the more complex, you just might surprize yourself and find you overlooked the odvious ( LIKE ME )

I've been there and done that. When I got my burner back from RMA, I forget to set the jumper on it. The factory sent me a new one as a replacement, and I didn't move the jumper to set it as a slave. Needless to say, I spent 2 hours trying to install the stupid thing.

Once I realized my mistake, it took me 5 minutes to install it.
