Default Ughhhhh I cant deicde!!!

Man this is annoying me. I have about $190 for a memory upgrade and I cant decide what I want to do. I could get a 2gb kit (somthing with UCCC probably) and spend most of my money. Or I could get a good 1gb kit for cheaper (I have seen TCCD kits on ebay for $100) So what should I do? I really need some help making up my mind. So please PCApex'ers give me your words of wisdom.

Oh and another question how safe do you think it is to buy memory off of ebay?

2gb here. More and more applications are demanding 2gb, so you would be safe with that.

Saw an awesome deal @ Newegg for a 2gb kit of Corsair XMS RAM for like $150.00.

Yeah I saw this deal and it was looking pretty good.

I just dont know if I want to spend all my money on it. I could always go with another 1gb kit later on but then you have to run 2T....

That G.Skill stuff is pretty impressive, TechPowerUp! has a good review of that kit with OC timings and voltages they found to be stable.

I have one right now that is running at 260MHz (DDR520) and is memtest stable.

Once you move to 2GB, you'll really have to push the CPU to get good 1M SPI times. I got my Opty up to 3216Mhz with my RAM @ 268Mhz 3-4-3-8, and it hit 26.500 on the 1M (no screenie, sorry). It's really better to use 2GB of mem for gaming and daily usage...and then have some high-clocking 1GB for your overclocking escapades. I've got both, but it's too bad that the Expert doesn't like TCCD (damn BIOS bugs).
