| Apex Master Tech | I guess this falls under hardware?? if not redirect me, Anyway after ALOT of Googling I have yet to come up with the type of case I'm looking for. A hard briefcase that aloows you to use the laptop in the case and allow for needed cooling. The keyword being a hard case. I found a very nice one Called the "Mac Truck" but has no provisions for storage of cables, power converters or anything other than the laptop itself. I found another well designed softcase that alows full access to all ports while in case operation. So If anyone knows of a maker of briecases that allow in case use and can still use the ports and optical drive please let me know.. Until then.... I'm going to start another mod of sorts to make my own using an old briefcase. Superman is on hold for further funding. ( I jumped on getting the laptop while I had the money) Actually I think I'll start the worklog now to get some input. If this post is in the wrong place feel free to move it.

I have but I guess what I'm looking for isn't in demand right now, or atleast hasn't been offered. The more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that I'll mod my briefcase and and build what I'm looking for THEN I'll post a complete worklog and you people decide. I intend to make it VERY protective for the laptop but at the same time have functionality to be able to "flip open" the lid and fire up the lapy and get going. I'm even considering it being powered to run a work light and a cooling fan with a usb port and speakers. To explain: my desktop has decent speakers easy usb ports plenty of cooling and is comfortable to game or surf the net. I'd like a case that securely protects but also I can just simply open the briefcase and press the power button on the laptop. I have been searching for a truly mobile full function pc since I first started goofing with computers. Bottom line is even tho I have never attended a lan party I'm tying to come up with a way to simply plug in the power cord and open the lid and start having fun. Am I insane or have a decent idea?
