Thumbs up Here is my advice for the Hardware Advice Forum...

Buy from NewEgg. Yes, I am giving another testimonial in NewEgg's favor and no, they are not an advertiser on PCApex but I expect they will be eventually.

I have been using NewEgg for about 98% of my PC gear purchases since I was first told about them back in 2001 and now have 5 pages of order history with them. Yes, you may be able to find items a few bucks cheaper elsewhere, but you will never get the long term support from other sites like you will from NewEgg.

Why is the Big Dog so hyped on them? Their return policy. Damn near anything you purchase from them can be RMA'd with no questions asked for at least a year, more for some items.

Over the years I have trashed a multitude of video cards, motherboards, hard drives, etc..., and in every case except for with processors, I have been able to RMA for another of the same item, or request credit towards a different item. Being a reviewer we are purposely hard on equipment so most of my gear has died within a year, but even the stuff I requested to be returned much later has been approved.

I remember when I was running a VapoChill and it developed a condensation problem. I burnt 3 video cards back to back and I was given a brand new one back every time without question. Back in 2002 I took out two cards due to some watercooling leaks and they were obviously killed with water since the backs were bubbled and I couldn't get the water stains off, but they were also replaced.

I killed a DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-DR board a while back and a new one was sent right away. A couple weeks ago the replacement board died without warning (I told you we were hard on gear) and I requested an RMA again. Of course, it states that all the original software, hardware, cables, manuals, and the item itself must be returned in the original packaging in order to get the replacement item, but this time I had none of that. I took the broken board by itself, threw it in a box, and sent it back to them. I just received notice that a new LanParty UT NF4 SLI-DR board in retail packaging was headed back my way.

Yes, I have probably spent a few thousand dollars there over the last 5 years but they take a loss every time they approve an RMA. Think about the number of people who use them just for that reason and they must write off hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. However, the service I receive from them ensures that they will also get my next few thousand hard earned dollars.

I've been ordering parts from newegg since one of my buddies/coworkers told me about the great prices and service..the best bonus is their shipping has always arrived early and its always at the best rates..I may ask a lot of questions and seem kind of noobish or very much like a neophyte, but its just beacuse i want to know the most i can and buy the best bang for the buck, so dont let the questions fool ya ..Pimprig aka Pcapex and Newegg have helped me with that...Rock on

I have to agree their shipping is lightning-quick and the prices are almost always the best. Easily the best place to buy stuff.

Never ordered from them and probably never will. Damn their international shipping policy Would be infinitely better if they shipped to Canada.

Let's put up a petition to try and get NewEgg to ship to the 51st state and Canada

I have had one minor problem with newegg, I ordered a AMD 3200+ and received a AMD 3700+. I informed them of this problem, and they replied with a message saying that if it is of no inconvinence to me that I may keep the 3700+ or return it for my 3200+.
So I guess it really wasn't much of a problem, they even credited my account with half of the purchace price due to their mixup. I guess I got quite a deal out of this.
Over three years of great service from newegg.

In the last few years that I've ordered from the Egg, I've never EVER had any DOA's, nor have I had to RMA anything. The service is top notch, and if you tell them you think so in a Testimonial, they'll send you some free schwag, to boot! You just can't top that kinda customer service!

Here Here BA and all the others who've replied! i loves me some newegg. i followed a link there when i was first shopping for hardware for my first comp and i havent found a reason to go anywhere else. I love the shipping speed, service, prices, selection, everything. And the free stuff for testamonials is nice too ive written two, and gotten two DIFFERENT packages of free stuff! (including a sweet watch, cd wallet that now houses all my os's and drivers, and a t-shirt! ) Newegg is the greatest!

Definately, I guess when they get a bit bigger they will start shipping out here though, I hope so because its just so damn expencive in this country, we can pay almost 1:1 prices with the USA.

i have built around 20 gaming machines for a total of 35k from newegg... i have had to rma a cdrom and a motherboard... i have never had a bad experince. I have noticed as time has gone on that the prices have gone up slightly... but i would pay a little more just for the service they give.

i ran a rma department for a server manufacture.... i think neweggs rma department would give me nightmares.

I guess the reason they don't ship to the UK is the international shipping fee + tolls, and most probably Canada too. That is if the people who handle the tollings are as bad as here in Iceland.

Newegg never had any problems until they switched to UPS over FedEx. Now I get my stuff a day late instead of a day early. I still order most of my gear from Newegg though.
