To clarify for others reading along, the Asus A8N-SLi has two SATA controllers onboard -- one is an nVidia controller, the other is a Silicon Image RAID controller. So, according to Overclock.net:

If you only have 1 disk - you won't be able to RAID it (you'll need at least 2 disks for RAID)
The drive is SATA anyways - so plug it in and go from there

*this seems a little too easy - did I miss something here?*

EDIT: Evidently I did - Thanks BA for clearing that one up!

Right, MasterP. He wants to know if he should hook it up to the NVIDIA SATA controller that is RAID capable, or the Silicon Image controller. The NVIDIA RAID capable controller is the preferred connection.
