Default SLI in a toaster, worth it?

So I found this little guy and I have been thinking about getting it. Do you guys think this is worth the money? It is pretty damn expensive but running sli in a toaster is amazing. I wonder how the cooling performs. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16856101479

Thats a sweet rig and SLI to boot i dont see why not if i had the money i would jump on that with both feet, but its your call. The specs seem to be decent but the small size and SLI i can't think of a reason not to!

I think if you're willing to pay that much, do it because it sounds like a great idea. Would you have the video outs coming from the toaster slots?

I was very interested in getting one before SLI became the thing to have. I was just going to fill out a barebones and give it to the wife.

Did some reading of many reviews on it and kept hearing about heat issues and how loud they were, so I dropped the idea.

Now, with SLI inside, I would be even more skeptical......... But, I admit I am not speaking from experience.
It sounds great but I would be careful..

Well I would hope the SLI would work as there are no PCI slots. Im thinking about getting it though. It would take me a long time to get this up and running as buying this would empty my wallet completely.

IMO, even lacking PCI (not really so important at all, in these days of 8ch+ onboard sound/ Nic), It'd make a real mean LAN gaming machine...

As long as you used 6600gt's or something that didn't put out a lot of heat it would be great.

That model only has a 350w PSU.... last I checked SLI required 500w, depending upon the cards. Between that and the heat from anything other then 6600s I would be interested in seeing how stable it was.

Im not sure if this could handle two 7800's but I dont see it having trouble with the 6800's. Im pretty sure that I am going to order this when I get the money. It will be one hell of an investment but one powerful toaster.

Odlly enough, your wrong, the 7800's use less power!

Quote:
As we can see, the GeForce 7800 GTX delivers on it's promise of higer performance at lower power due to the 110nm manufacturing process. We can't wait to see what NVIDIA's mobile division has planned for this.

http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2451&p=20

(256MB GTX models ONLY, I didn't check the 512's, they probably use more since they realy boosted the clock speeds)

In fact, the 256MB 7800GT would use even less power, and its alot cheaper than the GTX, and will blow away a 6800Ultra.

The 6800's are not a great value for the money/performace/heat/power consumption these days, and as far as the 6600's in SLI mode, a single 7800GT would "Toast" them for nearly the same money
