  |  need help i am looking to buy a processor for my new build but do not know what to get.. get the fx or opteron and try to o/c My set up so far 19inch vx 924 (x 2) c3case 74gb western hd asus sli deluxe mobo duel layer sony dvd burner 2gig corsar xms ram xfi sound card 600 watt ocz power supply I am looking into the 512 7800gtx card when they come back out any suggestions

   | DFI motheroard (should upgrade to this for OC'ing), Opteron, and X1800XT would be your best bets. The GTX 512 is pretty much vaporware at this point. The X1800XT will score nearly as high as the nVidia offering, for about $200-$250 less (based on Newegg prices). Check my sig for scores.
