Finally made up my mind on the mobo, but I can't decide the proc. Any help?

Ok, I posted a couple weeks about asking for some help picking out a new mobo, and decided to go with the ASUS A8R-MVP (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131584). As well, I've picked up another Abit Fatal1ty Radeon X800 XL video card to run in Crossfire mode, but now I'm stumped on the proc to get.

I was originally thinking to go with either the AMD Athlon X2 4200+ or 4400+, but lately everyone has being loving the 939 Opteron line. So now I'm torn between the 3. I have been looking at the Opteron 175, Dual Core at 2.2GHz. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You made the right choice. A dual core Opteron will be simply awesome, especially when overclocking.

Hey atr3yu,
I also was debating over the Opteron 175 or the X2 4400+, and when I asked the guys in the forums, it was an almost unaimous vote for the Opteron. From what I learned, the Opteron and 4400 are almost the same, but the Opteron is underclocked for stability, thus making it better for overclocking.
I have yet to get one myself (although i'm about to get one) and am basing this on what others have told me.
