And it will be put into my current computer. There is no way of convincing me to save my funds for later, or use them on other more pertinent things in life (such as heating gas for this winter)

So this is the base setup:

X2 4400+
7800gtx 256
A8N-SLI Premium
Modstream 520
2x512 DDR500
2x200 SATA2
Audigy2 ZS
Lian Li PC-65B

Yes, this is completely and utterly unecessarily too expensive with low return on investment. No, I will not get a second computer. No, I will not save the money. No, I have no other hobbies that warrent the cash.

#1 - definatly do the $20 premium scrip to PR
#2 - looks like a dayum good set-up
#3 - if any money is left, you could give it to me so you dont feel as if you saved any

im still new here - ill see how my experience goes. if its positive, Ill definately return the favor as $20

dunno... i suppose I should just save and just get another bleeding-edge computer come M2 season :S Though there must be some interesting stuff I can do now. It doesnt necessarily have to be peripherals.

Well, depending on how your current rig is, you might just want to upgrade now. You can never really get ahead in this game. There's always some newfangled thing just around the corner and if you waited for all of it you'd never get a system built. Just try to do your best and get a system that could last a few years.

Might want to consider an X-fi platinum instead of the audigy 2zs if you can afford it.
