| Hello people, been a long time since I've been on here. I got very busy with my new job (some of you will remember) and found I didn't have much time for forumming. Not to mention the new forum layout got on my nerves ![]() How is everyone!? Onto the important point. Recently both my friend and I got our hands on e6750 chips. I got 3.8ghz out of mine 24/7 stable and was easily able to boot at 4ghz+ but limited by my EVGA 680i FSB wall for 4ghz 24/7. My friend had problems with overclocking on a Gigabyte p35 ds3 motherboard, and I'm talking him into getting a better board for OCing his E6750. I've always been a fan of the 680i, and as such heard good (and bad things) about the 780i and 790i, for example fantastic overclocking but video card issues and some data corruption. Simply put, I'd appreciate your advice on what is the best s775 board out there currently for easy overclocking and reliability. If anyone could gimme maybe three different choices on what they believe to be the best 775 boards out there, along with a little explanation as to why they are so good, and their strong/weak points, it would be hugely appreciated. $550 is his budget around about... Many thanks ahead! | ||

| I've got an Asus P5K WiFi Deluxe w/ a E6750 at my office that I run at 3.6 GHz all day with just a small bump in voltage. I have had it at 3.9 GHz but I'm more interested in stability at my Office. I've had a few 680i mobo in my Gamer but I upgraded to the EVGA 780i SLI and I luv it. I can push my QX9650 to 4 GHz on air though I run it everyday at 3.8 GHz | ||

| Suck it up ya big cry baby. Im sure its nothing personal ![]() Having just had a quick look on Hwbot, the current highest CPU-Z score for a QX9650 (6.2Ghz) was reached on a Foxconn Black OPS X48, which upon further research appears to be a dedicated benchmarking/overclocking board. Sounds tasty ![]() Some prices for ya: Eclipse Computers - Product Details Scan Computers UK: Foxconn BLACKOPS, S775, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 1333/1600/1066, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX Foxconn BlackOps Intel X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard As Slay said, you could also consider the P5K Wifi/Premium.
