| Apex Advanced Techie |  New build Hi Fellas, Its been awhile since ive been on due to school and work and homelife but im planning on building a new rig in preparance for college and I want it to be decently upgradeable while not being to expensive for now. As of now the list of componets I have are as follows(Im just wanting to know of what you pimps think of this stuff and of anything better)
If you guys need any links then let me know and ill get em for you. Basically I just ant to know if im building a good computer and what I could do better | |||||||||

As for recomending a card I really like Palit's 9600GT Sonic edition because of the HDMI and displayport connectors. EVGA's SSC edition is also really nice as it's clocked way higher than just about any other one which gives you a nice little performance boost. | |

| Sempr0n?  | Re: New build Go for an 8800GT 512 if you can stretch to it. As for SLi, don't bother....single card solutions are better and they allow you to use an Intel motherboard, which are generally more stable and better overclockers. Also consider a bettter cooler. The ACF7Pro is good for dual cores but I reckon you'll only be able to do about 3ghz on your quad. A Tuniq Tower or TR120-Extreme would suffice. | |
