TV tuners for computers have way too much lag to be used to play consoles through. I personally went and bought a monitor with inputs that allow me to hook up what I want, and my roommate got a xbox 360 vga cable so he could play his system on his monitor. This doesnt give you a way to record, but you wont want to play it through a TV tuner.

I disagree. I think SOME tuner packages "post-process" signals, possibly to make it easier to record or to deinterlace, but I always had good results. I keep a Gamecube and a FC Twin hanging off my Leadtek WinFast HDTV Cinema; I watch them with Virtual VCR.

The best way for you to do it is to get a TV tuner. With your CPU and the better processing capability of modern tuners you should be able to play your game without any lag.

I've done it with a Leadtek Winfast Expert, since the resolution of your monitor outclasses the standard resolution of TVs you'll have to adjust the video settings manually to get the best image.

Many cards either come with a breakout box or a direct plug for the yellow.

The red and white, you may need to buy a $5 adaptor to convert to a headphone-style plug, or it may be on the breakout box.
